The gospel truth of soul. A project passionately devoted to the sound and the spirit of the heart of soul can hardly be named more aptly. Deeply rooted in the traditions of James Brown and Al Green, they render homage to BookerT & the MG’s, transforming the sounds of the past into future classics.

Gero Körner arrived as a teen on the live and studio scene and has been appreciated as a high-profile, cross-genre piano player and keyboarder ever since. It is one of his favourite instruments his signature instrument as it were – that is at the heart of his solo debut TRUTH:

the Hammond organ.

In the instrumentals of the album he unbinds the full range of the soul-landscape from it, ranging from loungy club sounds to Latin grooves and classic up-tempo Boogaloo.

Soleil Niklasson is the epitome of soul: a voice so powerfully soulful, earthy and colourful that tells of love, social commitment and a better world. Voice and veracity of her heartfelt lyrics are one, exuding the real truth of soul. The Chicago born singer composed the songs on THRUTH together with Gero Körner.
